At Volvo Buses\u2019 prototype workshop in Gothenburg, modern waterjet cutting technology is used to cut a wide range of materials with high precision when developing and producing new bus prototypes.<\/p>\n
The challenge was that this advanced technology also generated high noise levels, both from the water jet itself and from the powerful high-pressure pump \u2013 negatively affecting the work environment.<\/p>\n

A large section of the wall and roof can be opened using an electric motor and control panel, making material loading and unloading easy.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
The acoustic enclosure surrounds both the cutting table and the high-pressure pump.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
The walls are built with 80 mm mineral wool for maximum sound insulation and finished with a durable alu-zinc coated steel sheet.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
For increased safety, the enclosure was equipped with a robust glass door, providing a clear view of the machine during operation.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
The completed solution resulted in a dramatic improvement of the work environment.
